Our October potluck was held Thursday, October 31, with Jay Mertz from Rabbit Hill farm as our guest speaker. This year was a special treat, since Esther once again used her decorating talents and creativity to make the room truly festive, with centerpieces and decorations at each table, along with a beautiful scarecrow decoration that was given away as a door prize.

As usual, our raffle table was overflowing with goodies from Rabbit Hill Farm and from Redentas Garden (see the cornucopia of goodies at right!). The raffle alone took at least 20 minutes, as members and guests alike went up to pick out their prizes.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Arlington Organic Garden Club. We had the great privelege of honoring three of our members who have been with the club from its outset: Judith, D.R., and Teresa (Judith and D.R. are shown to the right). We thank them for their continued presence in our club, and we hope to enjoy many more years with them! The gift baskets were assembled by Dave, our treasurer, and were filled to overflowing with gardening goodies (thanks also to Susan, who donated some of the basket's bounty).

We were sad to say goodbye to our president Dorothy (shown at right with Robbie), who is stepping down after several years at the helm of AOGC. Her leadership will be missed but we know she'll continue to support and serve the club as a valued member.

See some more pictures of October's meeting.
